To turn an ordinary flower bed into a real masterpiece, it is not enough just to plant and grow flowers. We will talk about the role of roses in garden design, and what style you can choose to decorate a flower garden so that it becomes a real decoration of the site.
Rose border device

Creating a border of roses, you can show the maximum of your imagination and creativity. Since it can have the most diverse shape, differ in size, height, symmetry and other characteristics.
When growing flower borders, we recommend not planting only one variety. If you want to get a truly luxurious border, combine different types of roses with different colors, heights, and bud types. Between the plants, lay a layer of mulch from decorative materials, for example, from pebbles, or ground bark.
Mixed border with roses
A mixed border is a great option for planting roses. The combination with other cultures allows you to “shade” bright flowers, prolong the process of their flowering. Also, when growing different crops between roses, you don’t have to worry about the empty space between them.
It turns out very beautifully if you grow perennials and bulbous plants together with roses. Which cultures to choose is up to you.
Flowers can be combined with ornamental herbs. But they should be selected so that they are combined in color and look harmonious. By experimenting with different cultures and colors, you can create a unique border that no one else has.
When planning plantings, keep in mind the important landscape decorating rule – the rose is the queen of flowers, and if you plant something in front of her, choose low-growing or medium-sized crops so that they do not cover the main flower.
Rustic landing style

The rustic style of growing flowers is the organization of a flower garden in the corner of the garden from unpretentious flowers that do not need constant care. For such beds, choose undersized roses adapted to your area so that they do not need to be cut and covered for the winter.
The rose is not only a beautiful, but also a very fragrant flower. The intensity of the smell depends on the plant variety, but it is never clear from the description how strong it will be. If you don’t like the strong smell of flowers, plant them away from gazebos, porches, rest areas, or opt for unscented rose hybrids.
Roses can become a real decoration of your garden, if you do not just plant them in a flower bed, but think over the plan and composition of the flower garden. For a small garden plot, it is better to choose only one of the proposed styles. If the ennoblement area is quite large – feel free to combine them.
Vertical planting of roses

Vertical planting is called when roses braid objects of the garden landscape, such as: arbors, arches, pillars, monuments, fountains, fences. Curly varieties of roses are suitable for this purpose.
When choosing an object for vertical planting of roses, you need to take into account that the lashes of the plant need support, or it will have to be increased, which can spoil the look of the decorative element. Also, do not forget that before the onset of winter it is important to cover the plants by completely removing the vine. Therefore, leave free space for placing a flower and attaching a shelter.
Flower beds with roses
The most common option is to grow them in a garden or park. Such flower beds look luxurious, but if you diversify the usual varieties with hybrid tea, or neat floribunda roses, this will add originality and particularity to your site.

Before arranging the flower bed, decide where it will be located, how it will look, and what varieties will be combined there. If you choose a flat, uniform flower bed, then pick roses so that they are approximately the same in height.

To organize a flower bed at an angle, for example, to plant flowers on a hill, use the wave planting method. To do this, plant the highest varieties in the middle, and low ones along the edges. To make the flower beds even more attractive, lay out the surface of the soil with multi-colored pebbles, or wood chips.
